If The Mountain Won’t Come To Mohammed…

Well, after going on about the lack of young bloggers posting from Armenia, it occured to me that until a youth activist friend returns from Georgia, I could at least use some of the contacts I’ve made among young Armenians for another project to see if any of them are interested in blogging. Glad to say that it worked, and I hope to set up the first tomorrow.

However, while I will set up accounts for them to post on this blog to begin with, the eventual aim will be to get them to migrate to their own blogs which I’ll help set up in the near future if they take to the idea of blogging. So, tomorrow I’ll hopefully be able to introduce you to the first of three contacted so far, Girl Interrupted. Watch this space!

I had always planned to encourage young Armenians to blog upon my return, but the recent Global Voices Summit in London has given me more ideas of how to do that, and where to take it next if it succeeds. Thanks guys!
