Welcome Nessuna!

As a few more blogs appear in the Armenian language I figured that it might be a good idea to summarize some of what was being said with excerpts translated into English posted on this site. A friend jumped at the chance to do this and made her first post earlier today.

What I wasn’t expecting, however, was that Nessuna would also post her own entry. As a young woman working for a local NGO in Armenia I had asked her to do so on many occasions, but it appeared as though she wasn’t interested. I have to admit that it was with great pleasure that I now discover that she seems to have changed her mind.

Great news, Nessuna. Really.

Nessuna really has a lot to contribute to the Armenian blogosphere and I’m extremely happy to introduce you to her now that she has made one post on the expectations imposed upon many young women in Armenia and also on the whisper of a conversation being held in Armenian, but one that I hope will soon turn into a deafening crescendo.

One day I hope that she’ll consider starting up her own blog in English, Armenian and Russian, or a combination of all three languages, but until then, welcome Nessuna!
