Mum’s Luggage Still Missing

It’s the third day of my Mum’s visit to Armenia and British Airways still has no idea where her luggage is. There were about a dozen others on the same flight who are also without their bags, as well as those who came over on the the Air France flight that arrived a few hours earlier. Apparently this is all because of tighter anti-terrorist measures in Europe and less time available to check in bags. Regardless, we can only now wait to see whether anything turns up before my Mum leaves Armenia next week.

  1. Well, good news. Two hours after making this post British Airways rang and said that my Mum’s suitcase has been found and is now ready to be picked up. Coincidently, I was meeting with Nahro Zagros, the Yorkshire Kurd, before heading off with him to visit the Yezidi village of Ferik in the Armavir region of Armenia. Have just got back and hope to post some photos tomorrow. As usual, beautiful children. Think I got some lovely portraits.

  2. Ahoy! I know it’s totally irrelevant, but do you happen to know who made the “break the silence” thing on the top right of your site? I’d like to grab permission to use it on my blog… For the motherland! Yarrr and what not!

  3. I’ll dig out the email later and send it on to you. However, for now I’m running a little later for getting to a meeting in time… ;-)

  6. Yeh you caught me out, I’m a lazy googler. Just out of curiosity what did you type to find it? I tried a few things. Meh, I’ll try not to be so lazy next time.

  7. Hopefully, the suitcase is in a better condition than Garo’s.

  8. Eso, since I remembered Onnik blogging about it, I limited the search to his blog only, typing:

    genocide banner site:oneworld.blogsome.com

Just googling “genocide banner” without limiting the search is not specific enough, yet for example googling “genocide banner Onnik” does the trick.

  9. Aye, I tried using Onnik’s search bar function, with wristband, genocide, banner, etc and different combinations thereof, nothing showed up so I just assumed that Onnik didn’t write about it. Thanks anywho.
