Well, finally the Habitat for Humanity Catholicos Karekin II Work Project in Gavar is over and today the new apartments that will serve as homes for 24 families were blessed as is customary in Armenian tradition. Not the first event of this kind that I’ve photographed this year, but as it was a mass blessing it will probably be the last for some time.

Anyway, a good time was had by all and it was particularly good timing because today was my Mum’s birthday. As I’ve posted before, she’s English and has no Armenian blood running through her veins. This being her first visit to Armenia it was nice to be able to take her to an event like this even if I had to work.

On that, thanks to Zarchka from Life Around Me for keeping my Mum company for the first half of the day. Hopefully there weren’t too many embarrasing stories about me as a child — or even as an adult. Regardless, thanks for that. Am quite tired at the moment so only a few photos. Maybe more later, maybe not.
