<blockquote>ARMENIA HAS APPEARED IN BLOCKADE

Russia has stopped air, land, sea, railway and postal communication with Georgia. Willingly or unwillingly Armenia will suffer from the Russian-Georgian relations. Georgia is the main transit for taking Armenian goods overseas.

<blockquote>ARMENIANS ARE HOSTAGES IN RUSSIAN-GEORGIAN RELATIONS

Today Vahan Hovhannesyan, NA deputy speaker referred to the Russian-Georgian relations and the difficulties Armenia might face in case the Russian-Georgian antagonism deepens. He said, "I think this is not the first case when Russia ignores the Armenian interests. They expect a comprehensive approach by us. But I cannot understand their position as in my opinion Russia, our military partner, willingly or unwillingly, joins Armenia's blockade".

<blockquote>GEORGIA TO GO MORE CONFIDENT OUT OF SITUATION, CREATED IN RUSSIAN-GEORGIAN RELATIONS: RA PARLIAMENTARIAN

Yerevan, October 3. ArmInfo. Aggravation of Russian-Georgian relations will not cause a confrontation between the two countries and aggravation of situation in the region, the leader of the National-Democratic party, RA parliamentarian, Shavarsh Kocharyan, expressed such an opinion at today's press-conference

According to him, Georgia will go more confident out of the created situation and will strengthen its positions in the region. As for the possibility of Armenia's intermediary assistance in establishment of dialogue between Russia and Georgia, Sh. Kocharyan said: "If the European structures and Washington are mediators in this issue, the assistance of Armenia is unnecessary". </blockquote>

There is enough blame here to include many countries. Not just Russia or Georgia but anyone that has gotten involved in Georgia's internal affairs. As for the small country of Georgia, it seems to have the habit of dealing without regard to anyone else who isn't Georgian. Georgia reminds me of a neighbor that would shoot your dog if it ran across its yard.

<blockquote>Georgia's release of officers fails to placate Russia

MOSCOW Russia announced on Monday that it would suspend air, rail, sea and automobile transportation to its southern neighbor, Georgia, increasing its retaliation for last week's arrests of four Russian military officers in Georgia on accusations of espionage.

[...]

The impact of a suspension in travel between the two countries - and how long it might last - remained unclear. Some travel agencies continued to sell tickets to Georgia, but a spokeswoman for Aeroflot, the state-controlled carrier, said that Monday night's flight to the capital, Tbilisi, had been cancelled and that passengers would be offered tickets to Armenia instead.
