Prosperous Armenia Campaign Offices Bombed

Four hours sleep and an early start on the campaign trial with the Heritage Party to Dilijan, Tsaghadzor and Hrazdan with news of two bomb attacks on campaign offices of Prosperous Armenia in Yerevan not even an hour into the journey. Anyway, cut my trip short and made my way back to Yerevan to shoot one of the sites of this morning’s attacks.

I’ll post some images later after I return from yet another campaign meeting.

As has been reported in the local meda as well as on this blog, tensions between the two parties representing the two most powerful officials in Armenia have been increasing in recent weeks. A1 Plus has more on the attacks today until other details are known. Certainly, there have been no public accusations voiced yet.

Today early at dawn one of the Headquarters of “Prosperous Armenia” party was blown up. The latter was in the address of Narekatsi 39, bld. 16. The chairman told “A1+”that there was a bomb in front of the door. Not only are the headquarters destroyed through but also the shop nearby. According to the shop owner, his shop suffered losses of 25000 USD.

In fact, the same lot fell on another headquarters in Kanaqer-Zeytun community. The party avoids giving any comments on the accident. As to press secretary Baghdasar Mheryan, the party will make an announcement soon.

This much for now. More later.
