Lightstalkers Updated
Now that Lightstalkers have upgraded the portfolio section of each photographer represented on the site, I’ve quickly thrown together a new portfolio of images for my page. If you’re looking for a photojournalist to work in Armenia, Georgia, or anywhere else for that matter, please take a look at http://lightstalkers.org/oneworld.
There are also more images available for viewing on my personal site at http://www.oneworld.am. Incidentally, both sites are always accessible at any time from under the Resources section in the column to the right. My Yahoo email address is there as well.

Incidentally, as a journalist and designer as well I can put together whole projects made up of photographs and text for print, internet and multimedia. After the recent EurasiaNet series of photostories, I would certainly like to do more with adding audio commentary to slideshows, especially on poverty, sustainable development, conflic, democracy and human rights related themes.
Most of the uncredited photography for the EurasiaNet special election coverage site is mine, and the four photostories I was responsible for are “Cleaning Up, Media Moment, Get Out The Vote, and Party Politics.”
Samples of some of the articles written and interviews held up until 2005 are available on my main site at the following URLs:
More recent photo work can be found posted as entries on this blog, but specifically:
Recent published articles include the following:
Please check out my main web site for more photography, specifically at http://www.oneworld.am/photojournalism/.
There’s also a PDF version of a viewbook for UNICEF which I designed and put together as well as providing the content including all articles and photographs here.

Hovik, as there is no link to my site in the article or at its beginning or end, there is no reason to suppose there would be a link other than to the original article itself which there is. i.e. http://www.cnewa.org/mag-article-bodypg-us.aspx?articleID=3276

Well, I don’t think Groong did that on purpose. From what I remember, Asbed (Groong proprietor) was not in opposition to Kocharian. Indeed, I think we even had arguments about the election then. Basically, people send out whatever they like and most of the information now online as it relates to Armenia is not sympathetic to the government.
On the other hand, I think you’re right when it comes to Groong. That is, it’s time has gone especially now there are more online news sources and now blogs. Besides, too much information goes out on Groong and it is hard to digest or find what you want without appropriate categories.
Don’t get me wrong. Groong has served an important role in disseminating English-language Armenian-related news. However, in recent years that need has diminished somewhat and the site definitely needs to evolve into something more than just the online version of its original concept as an email mailing list.
