Yeah, you're right, Nazarian, but ArmenTel is the cheapest and the easiest -- just gets tagged onto your phone bill without having to wander into an office once a month to pay in person. However,if the service sucks...

Anyway, as of now, it's finally working again and I can actually send emails for the first time in months. Let's see how long it stays like that. As it was I was using a combination of ISPs for everything. Xter.net and Netsys for sending and receiving emails, ArmenTel for browsing the web.

The entire Internet situation in Armenia sucks, in fact.

Aren't there any other ISP-s? I remember my brother using some other dial-up ISP.

If there is one, vote with your wallet and ditch ArmenTel.

Tried pinging and nothing happens at all. No text even. The command consol just hangs and quits after 20 or so seconds. My site is hosted on an American server through Netsys and I can't access their site -- http://www.netsys.am -- either. The marvellous (NOT) ArmenTel strikes again -- and they clearly don't give a damn. Is there no end to this monster effectively created by Ter Petrosian and Kocharian in 1997-8?
